Define Us

Swallow the pain, the scream, the whistling tune in your head as your personality laughs with insanity.

You pushed, you shoved, you said stop, you said ignore, you dropped, you fled, you forgot.

I sat backwards on the train and watched couples rub lips.

I said no, I said yes, I asked, I said 'Fine'.

You knew it wasn't, but it doesn't matter. There's nothing left to say. Don't ask.

Lovely, lonely, lone, love...

You asked me to jump, I never said 'How high?' You were crying. I was angry. I couldn't touch you.

It was puffing home, clutching, a chest that collapses in, a head that shatters, a heart that's lost the super glue.

Don't jump, don't stop, don't lose it. You're beautiful, you're strong, but we're gone.
